Giza

Pinhole Pyramids.

One cannot help but feel that snapshot photography has reduced the world to a collection of things seen, miniature souvenirs, instead of representing the world as a thing to be seen, in the reality of perception and on the scale of the body.

Initially I was wondering if you meant the photo was like a minature souvenir, or that you like that photo! haha But I soon realised that it works either way. I also realised that a comment is not a contract and should not be interpreted! Anyway! I like the idea of miniature souvenirs, trust me, you should see my kitsch shelf, which bears a piece of kitsch from everywhere i've been. But sometimes and for some people, seeing a miniature souvenir is enough. This is largely due to the accuracy and quality of photographs or souvenirs these days. Will that replace the original? I fear it already has for some and in some places! haha
