Shadows

Long Shadows.

We are not, strictly speaking, our past for we have left that behind. Yet it continues to trail us like a shadow, only much less visible and far more intrusive. There is an invisible force about the past, like how we can see the stars and the planets but can't see what holds them apart or what draws them together.
